Youth Ministry

There are alot of things happening in our youth group. Attendance continues to grow and more  importantly than that students are growing closer to Jesus!! We just finished our disciple now weekend and it was a huge success. We had 31 students present. We had three worship services where we saw God really move in the lives of our teenagers. The focus of the weekend was Faith.  Our students really learned what it meant to have faith it something that we can not see. We had many students  made decisions of rededication, baptism, and other things. We also did a service project where our students had the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We rebuilt a front and back porch on a house of a woman who was in need in our community. We didn't get to finish so plenty of our boys are going back on their own time to finish up. Thanks to everyone who offered your homes, drove a van, helped with the meals, and a special thank you to all prayed for our students that weekend. Coming up in the next few months our students have plenty of opportunities to serve and grow. In April our students will have the opportunity to help lead the disciple now for kids. In may our youth will have the opportunity to help out with MEGA SPORTS CAMP. My goal this year is to take at least 20 students on mission trip. We will be going to Athens Ohio. God has big things in store for this week and he needs lots of people willing to serve. Our students will be presenting a drama at night, hopefully taking our praise band, as well as helping in construction, sports camp, and VBS. Please parents pray about allowing your children the opportunity to go.  The cost is minimal this year with hopes of increasing our attendance. If you want your teens to be blessed get them signed up for Mission Trip. In july our students will be going to SUMMERSALT. This is a camp at White Oak Conference Center. It is put on the by the Baptist Convention and I can't wait to see how God moves in the lives of our students. We still have space available and the cost for this is $90. Please parents and students pray about going to camp. I am passionate about camp, because I know the difference camp made in my life. I was called into ministry as a teenager at camp. We are still in need of boys and girls small group bible study leaders for the summer. Please pray about stepping up to lead one of these bible studies. Continue to listen to announcements about all the things going on for our youth. IT'S AWESOME TO SEE GOD MOVE IN OUR YOUTH GROUP.
