Well, it’s back to school time and if the children aren’t too happy about that, at least the parents are. The children’s choir will be starting back the Sunday after Labor Day. It will be time to start on the Christmas programs soon.

Phyllis and I will be going to Washington DC on Tuesday 8/30 for surgery on Thursday. She will be in the hospital for approximately 21 days. The doctor seems very confident that he can help her.

It’s in times like these that you realize “How Great is the Body of Christ”! We have received cards, letters, prayers and words of encouragement from hundreds of people and dozens of churches. It makes us thankful that we serve in such a loving church. Your kind expressions of compassion and concern overwhelm us. We’re truly thankful!
